We now have lovely HQ versions of some previously posted photos of Dan with an original Equus prop, courtesy of Oclumencia. You can see them HERE.
And many thanks to Carole and Frenchi for this bit of information regarding the event in question: Actress Elaine Bromka was presented with the refurbished "horse mask" worn by her husband Peter Phillips in the Original 1974 Broadway production of Peter Shaffer's EQUUS. The restored headpiece - carefully executed by the current EQUUS Prop Supervisor Mike Smanko - was presented by the actors who portray the horses in the new hit production of the play at the Broadhurst Theatre before the matinee performance on Wednesday November 12, 2008.

Trust our Lauren to come up with this wonderful little Equus related news item:
"At three consecutive Saturday matinees starting November 22nd, the cast of Equus on Broadway will auction off the Lucky Brand jeans worn in the play by its young star Daniel Radcliffe as part of the company's campaign to raise money for the annual Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS fall fundraising drive. Following the 2 p.m. matinee performances on Saturdays November 22, November 29 and December 6, audience members can bid for Mr. Radcliffe's costume jeans - autographed (live!) by Mr. Radcliffe - during a brief and merry onstage auction at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 W. 44 St.) where Equus is being performed through February 8, 2009."
I recently attended a matinee performance at the end of which an Equus T-shirt autographed by Dan went for $1600 during 'a brief and merry onstage auction', and I'm pleading with any one of you who will be in attendance during one of the above mentioned matinees to let us know how much the jeans will have sold for!

We have a couple of interesting new articles to share with you today: The first is from the New York Post's In My Library and features Dan talking about his love for books. Newleaf31 sent this link to us, mentioning that she is the 'person on the street' who gave Dan the Stephen Dobyns poetry book!
The second is an interview with Broadway bound actor Haley Joel Osment who mentions speaking with Dan after seeing him in Equus.
"He discussed his child-star experience with Radcliffe, who turned to an edgy theater role to shake off his "Harry Potter" image. "He's got it a lot tougher than I do, 'cause there's merchandise out there with him on it," Osment says, with a laugh."

Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths were interviewed on Charlie Rose on PBS in the US tonight, in a nice looooong (half-hour) and entertaining chat about their preparation for Equus and the play itself.
Video clips will be available for download later today, and should also be posted on the Charlie Rose website very soon so keep checking there.
